Technical Lead
We are looking for a Technical Lead to help build a sophisticated AI-enabled enterprise platform for large global organizations. You will lead a team of engineers day to day while remaining deeply hands-on — owning component- and service-level architecture within your domain, setting the engineering quality bar, and turning complex requirements into working, production-grade software. You will work in close partnership with our Principal Software Architect, who owns platform-wide architecture, and you will be accountable for how it is realised in code.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day technical execution of a delivery team building core platform services.
- Own component- and service-level architecture within your domain — service boundaries, API and event contracts, data access patterns, and module design.
- Partner with the Principal Software Architect on platform-wide decisions, and translate enterprise architecture and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) into concrete implementation.
- Build and review production code, holding a high bar for correctness, readability, testability, and performance.
- Break down complex features into well-sequenced, estimable engineering tasks and keep delivery predictable.
- Implement AI-enabled features — retrieval pipelines, RAG and GraphRAG flows, embeddings, prompt orchestration, and agentic workflows — against the platform AI strategy.
- Build integrations with enterprise systems and design the synchronization, reconciliation, error-handling, and audit behaviour around them.
- Uphold security, data integrity, traceability, and compliance requirements in everything the team ships.
- Drive engineering practice — code review standards, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.
- Mentor and grow engineers through pairing, technical coaching, and design feedback.
- Identify technical risk and delivery blockers early, and drive them to resolution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with proven experience leading engineering teams or squads in a hands-on capacity.
- Strong backend engineering skills and a track record of shipping and operating production systems at scale.
- Solid grounding in software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, and distributed systems.
- Experience designing APIs, event-driven systems, and service integrations.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, and with data modeling for complex domains.
- Practical experience building AI-powered features — LLM integration, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or agentic workflows.
- Strong understanding of testing strategy, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead technical discussions and align a team.
Nice to have
- Experience with knowledge graphs, graph databases, semantic search, or GraphRAG.
- Experience integrating with PLM, ERP, MES, QMS, or document management systems.
- Experience with Kafka, workflow or state-machine engines, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, or hallucination mitigation in production.
- Exposure to enterprise security and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST.
